The Dangers of Hardcore Porn

Back in September, I wrote a post about how I overcame porn-induced ED. It wasn’t fun, but it was absolutely necessary. Recently, I stumbled upon an incredibly educational video by a cognitive neuroscience scientist. What she explains really puts all the pieces of the puzzle together, just as you’d expect.

One thing I can say for sure is that she is 100% right when she says using Viagra is just a band-aid when it comes to porn-induced ED. The problem will escalate further if you continue watching porn—especially hardcore porn—while relying on the blue pill.

Let’s say you’re into facefucking, and that’s your fetish. Spending hours watching that type of content, particularly the more extreme stuff, is something you should absolutely avoid. During the height of my porn addiction, I watched some incredibly hardcore content involving facefucking, and it triggered something in my brain—something very harmful—that left me unable to get an erection.

So, my advice is to cut back on hardcore porn. Instead, wait until you can explore those fantasies with a provider. In the meantime, stick to mainstream porn videos, like the ones produced by Brazzers or other big studios, or even your favorite amateur creator, as long as it doesn’t fall into the hardcore category. Otherwise, it may come back to haunt you.

Fortunately, the brain is amazing at rewiring itself. If you find yourself unable to get hard, in most cases, you can reset by abstaining from all porn for around 3–4 weeks. After that, you should see big improvements.
