The Cost of One Violation, Losing Doggy

Being mechanical to a certain extent is okay. We've all been with that provider who's very particular (no pun intended) about certain acts once the hotel door closes. And that’s fair—it’s their body, and they have every right to decide what happens to it. But I do think there’s a line. For me, that line is drawn when a provider tells me that specific positions aren’t available during a session.

POTW NBE-Doggy Style-1000x1000.jpgNot too long ago, a provider announced she was no longer offering doggy style. When I first saw this, I was confused. Part of it was because I’d never seen a position outright banned before, and the other part was her reasoning—which I’ll get to. Still, banning a sexual position felt strange, especially one that’s so common and foundational in intimacy.

Doggy is often the go-to after foreplay and oral. Unless you’re the really intimate type who wants to start off with missionary and a lot of eye contact, doggy feels like the default next step. Personally, I’ve always seen it as a little less intimate than missionary, but still essential. I didn’t even realize until recently how important the position was to me—it might actually be my favorite.

The provider’s reason, though? Totally valid. She explained that doggy style puts the woman in a blind spot—she can’t see what’s happening behind her. During one session, she caught a client stealthily removing the condom and hiding it in his fist. That’s beyond unacceptable. In today’s world, where consent is at the center of everything, removing a condom without consent can absolutely be considered sexual assault or even rape, depending on the legal framing.

This is the one reason I’ll completely accept for a provider to become mechanical. Her health, safety, and peace of mind are the priority—this is her livelihood, and anyone jeopardizing that is out of line. As much as I enjoy doggy, and maybe even need it to have a good time, if a provider feels uncomfortable because of a situation like that, I get it. I can’t complain. I’ll just find another provider who’s comfortable and willing to accommodate me—there are plenty.

While it’s frustrating to lose access to certain acts because of someone else’s violation, it’s also a wake-up call for mechanical. Providers aren’t being mechanical to annoy us—they’re protecting themselves from people who’ve shown they can’t be trusted. If that means losing out on doggy with one provider, so be it. Trust and safety should always come before personal preference.

And finally—seriously—fuck the guy who ruined it for everyone else. You’re a complete dick. There's always fucking one, I swear.
