Fantasy Football: Prize Distribution

I know it wasn’t an option but I prefer this over 1st and 2nd place payout. Award money to 1st overall and points champion.

Technically points overall is the true measure of the best team. I’ve been in leagues where points champ just had some unlucky breaks with teams going off and record did not reflect it.

In2016 I had the best team by fat all season. One of my best teams ever
until Lavon bell went insane back to back weeks of the playoffs. Would won against anyone else, would have won the Super Bowl the next round vs my best friend. Would had 10k in my pocket. Would still be talking shit today.

But I lost. That’s what happens sometimes when you gamble

Yea that shit happens. At least with Super Bowl winner and the points champ getting paid you get something if someone gets hot and knocks you out

Oh I totally agree in a winner take all. It just leads to less participation 3/4 of the way through the season…So up to everyone! Just throwing the idea out there.

I don’t plan to come in last and already saying the buy in should be a grand minimum
I would assume anyway interested in dropping that money will see it though and keep there reputation intact at the end

One thing that’s worked well in the past to keep people engaged is having both an overall points champion and a Fantasy Football champion.

As for keeping people from bailing if they’re out of contention, one idea could be having everyone contribute to a “last place pot” at the beginning of the year. If you don’t finish last, you get your money back—or maybe earn a few free months of membership as a reward.
