Poll: Fantasy Football Entry Fees

This is really spot on. Like, when it comes to everything you speak about multi-hour sessions and people quitting later. This is all right. When it comes to the overnights that makes sense, but you had it right at people most likely not being able to afford it. Would it be worth the time you specified in putting in for the league? Hell yeah, and then some. But like you said not everyone would be able to afford it.

I would be incline to do this, but a thought came to me. Making a lower tier would be good for those looking to jump in who haven't really done it before, though you won't really know for sure who has or hasn't really put in the time for fantasy football. I rather people not get taken advantage of. Although, having a lower tier in general does sound good.

You also could limit people to a single tier... if there is a low tier bracket and or a bracket for fantasy football "noobs" count me in... its hard to gamble more than a bill or 2 for my personally and I also know little to nothing bout football besides what teams go to the super bowl haha

Yeah man I’m not trying to dictate it and I was broke couldn’t afford shit less than 10 years ago and don’t want to knock another man down for how much they make but obviously there are guys who are on here are dropping money on dates and probably gamble too so combining the two is a great thing, but fantasy is a real commitment unlike the march madness and superbowl thing where it was really luck of the draw. And I’m in a few other leagues already, so the prize has to be woth the investment if I were to join another league

And yeah I would say you’re right, obviously most don’t want to bet 1,000-1500 bucks without knowing everyone else is gonna stay committed and having a decent chance to win so if you don’t know how to play, learn in another league and if you want to have some fantasy experience maybe it’s woth the risk to say fuck it imma skip that 1 hour date and try to win a date of a lifetime

But also… if you count myself, the two big ballers mentioned above mr businessman and swipity and a couple others on here that I know could afford it were already halfway there, maybe the winner of last years league gets confident and a couple others decide to take the risk and worst case that’s an 8 team league

I think regardless of the entry fee the playoff field should increase, especially if the mention of consolation prizes is in the mix. I lost interest early when it was only the top 2 teams from each division.

Other thing worth considering is something past leagues of mine have done in the past, to keep interest across the board even for teams that don't make it, say we have a 12-team league and 1-8 make the playoffs for the grand prize. 9-12 have a consolation bracket where the winner gets their entry fee back. Just keeps it fun for all with something to play for even if you don't make playoffs. Just my two cents on it.

I just want to point out that an 8 team league is a terrible format. Let’s make sure the minimum is 10 teams, but no more than 14 teams. I’m willing to pay a higher amount if the format is still in tact.

Outside of making sure you got claims in on time and watching for injuries it wasn’t too bad. Also is it really a big deal if the whole date is covered by the pot? I think even the richest one in the room would take a 1.5-2k discount on their date without hesitation.

I used the winnings in LA at the end of March. I originally was looking at Ameena Green (Tryst Agency)e or Nia Bleu (Tryst Agency) but changed it up cause the opportunity came up with this girl.

im good with increasing it slightly from last year - personally i'd be good with up to $300 if the majority want to keep it the same or slightly lower that's fine too

and by the sounds of it i think we can get at least 2 leagues of 12-14 teams - so we could do some fun formats with individual league prizes and a grand prize for the overall winner etc - as long as @trystagency is willing to work with and accommodate more than 1 league the possibilities are endless really

So far I'm seeing where the sweet spot is for us in terms of entry. Also, everyone's has their proposition on how things should go this time around where I'll take that into consideration as well. I believe a majority of everyone's thoughts is centered around the number of people we get this time around.

Though the 9-12 bracket is something I was thinking about. Not so much in the same way you are, but I've been pondering it.

In theory this sounds good but in reality it creates a reason to "tank". What it creates is a situation where it is better to finish 9th than 6th if there are a couple dominant teams that will most likely win it all (finish 9th, get my money back, finish 6th, lose everything).
