All of last August leading into the draft a number of members came forward talking about the money pot. Everyone had their own opinion on how the entry fee. As I went through them prior before writing this I noticed no one really talked about the entry fee being to high. Surprisingly enough a lot of people wanted it to be higher as they wanted the provider they really wanted to see to be completely paid for. Not mad at that whatsoever.

The prime goal of last years Fantasy League was enjoyment. I also wanted to get in at least 12 people to make a league. I didn't suspect that it would be as popular as it was then prior to making it. I knew making a pool that could only being used to see a provider played a part in it, but had no idea I'd get enough people to make two different leagues. With the entry fee 150 given to by 12 people I assume that was enough where people could bet while also still having a little more money in their pockets as some of us use our extra money for providers. To know that people wanted it to be higher is seeing a lot which is why I made the poll.

This polls main focus to get in that sweat spot of where the entry fee will be. Just because you vote on one specific fee does not mean it will be that towards this years Fantasy league. The point is just to gauge where people are at with all of this. I'll most likely do another poll before the week is out to decided exactly how the money pool is going to be divided out as last year it was a winner take all and this year we'll most likely do a first, second, and last. Keep this is mind when voting on this pool.

I do want to make the pot bigger for the winner of this year. Last years pot was good, but we didn't break $2,000 and to really enjoy yourself it has to be somewhere significantly above that.

Which is chosen will be the one that benefits everyone. Keep things light and enjoyable about while being caught throat as well. Fuck what you heard, if I'm dropping $500 on this I'm going hard.

So I’m going to take the time to make my case for a larger entry fee

A single hour with most girls starts at 1500
While I understand winning 1500 is a lot to many, to some it is nothing

To manage a team takes a time commitment, realistically minimum an and hour or two a week, over a 19 week season that’s roughly 40 hours or a week of work.

If I join a league, I’m trying to win, if I’m going to commit a week of my time that I could be making money, the reward should be worth the effort.

You also have the fact that most people quit a league after a bad start, a larger buy in, keeps that from happening

For many people a date with a ps is usually 2 hours plus bb a test room ect, and yore really looking at about 4-5k for date minimum

There are also guys who do lots of overnights and weekends etc, essentially to thouse winning 1500 bucks is nothing and more of a burden to stay involved in the league when you get a bad start instead of being the guy who doesn’t set a lineup and gives up easy wins down the stretch , no disrespect but it’s true.

On the other side most girls overnight or day rates start at 8-10k some higher, that is 1000% a prize worth competing for
A buy in of 1500 for 10 players gives a price pool of 15k more than enough for the winner to get a substantial grand prize and plenty left over for 2nd place and even 3rd , and even a tip out to the commissioner for running it.

So that’s my peace, there are obviously people who can’t afford it, no shame, but there are also many here who clearly can and I feel it’s definitely a realistic number considering the time put into the season ect

Maybe have 2 brackets one at thw low range of $150-250 entry and one at a higher range of say $400-500

The $150-250 would give people who dont know football that well and or dont have the finial means such as oc or sweetiepie to enter and try their luck and the possibility to spend an hour with their favorite PS provider and the higher bracket if you want to risk it all would give you a chance at a multiple hour chance

This is really spot on. Like, when it comes to everything you speak about multi-hour sessions and people quitting later. This is all right. When it comes to the overnights that makes sense, but you had it right at people most likely not being able to afford it. Would it be worth the time you specified in putting in for the league? Hell yeah, and then some. But like you said not everyone would be able to afford it.

I would be incline to do this, but a thought came to me. Making a lower tier would be good for those looking to jump in who haven't really done it before, though you won't really know for sure who has or hasn't really put in the time for fantasy football. I rather people not get taken advantage of. Although, having a lower tier in general does sound good.

I think regardless of the entry fee the playoff field should increase, especially if the mention of consolation prizes is in the mix. I lost interest early when it was only the top 2 teams from each division.

Other thing worth considering is something past leagues of mine have done in the past, to keep interest across the board even for teams that don't make it, say we have a 12-team league and 1-8 make the playoffs for the grand prize. 9-12 have a consolation bracket where the winner gets their entry fee back. Just keeps it fun for all with something to play for even if you don't make playoffs. Just my two cents on it.

Though the 9-12 bracket is something I was thinking about. Not so much in the same way you are, but I've been pondering it.
