This will most likely be my last post about the league until official sign-ups drop. This one is focused solely on how the prize pool should be handled and whether we want to switch things up from last year. Keep in mind: this post is just to gather opinions—it doesn’t mean anything discussed here is final or locked in for the upcoming season.

Last year, we kept it simple: winner takes all. No confusion, no pushback, and everyone was cool with it. But after talking with TA, we’re considering a slight tweak this year. Specifically, we’re thinking about adding 2nd and 3rd place payouts to keep things more engaging throughout the season. Right now, once a few folks are clearly out of the running for 1st, some tend to check out. Giving more players something to fight for could change that.
I'm also taking @hibachi67’s idea into consideration: a consolation prize for those who don't make the playoffs. It's a fun way to keep everyone involved longer. And let’s be honest—money and escorts are the best motivators we’ve got.
That said, here’s the catch, we probably can’t do both (top 3 and a consolation prize) with the current entry fee. If you go back to the entry fee poll, most of us voted for $250, which guarantees the 1st place winner gets at least an hour with a provider—fully paid for by the league. That’s already set in stone.
I had ideas for a consolation prize (non-monetary), but it gets tricky. It doesn’t make a lot of sense to reward the bottom of the bracket while ignoring the 2nd and 3rd place finishers who a competed hard earning there way into the semi-finals. So realistically, unless we raise the entry fee, we’re going to have to choose one direction.
Maybe I’m missing something—so if you’ve got a suggestion or see a workaround, drop it in the thread. Let’s see if we can find a balance that works and keeps the league fun and competitive for everyone.
