Providers offering BBFS without tests?

Prophylactic antibiotics for short periods of time like say a tour and even long periods of time like chicks with chronic sex related UTI issues is totally normal and the antibiotic resistance issue while a concern is largely overhyped. You shouldn't fuck a chick bare without knowing status but theres tons of good studies showing taking antibiotics beforehand is good. without any other info i'd sure as shit rather bbfs a chick taking Prophylactic antibiotics than one who isn't

When I did the NYC Tri you better believe I took broad spectrum antibiotic's before getting in the Hudson.

The only antibiotic recommended is Doxycycline after unprotected sex to prevent transmission of syphyllis, gonnorhea and chylamdia in M2M and Transwomen contact

You’re not going to have women taking doxy before sex or a “tour” and and wreaks havoc on the GI system and can lead to resistance which is not overhyped

And please post “tons of good studies” showing before sex antibiotic use is good

Sorry I should have been more clear. I was always referencing doxy specifically. You're clearly aware of the original doxy efficacy studies that show its benefits, here's the recent one that expanded on it to cis population. Obviously limited but if I was providing care It would certainly be a consideration.

On a macro scale the public health concerns around antibiotic resistance are definitely valid but I think most would agree when we are talking about administering care for a particularly high risk group and the decision making looking to minimize harm worrying about antibiotic resistance is extremely far down the list.

If you're a healthcare provider and you had a 28 year old female come to you and say "Hi doctor i'm planning on spending the next 2 weeks in the US getting loads dumped in me by strangers 4-6 times a day because I want to maximize my revenue" once we get past the point in the conversation where the recommended medical advice is "hey don't do that" i'd imagine testing, Prep, and a psych consult would be the baseline care suggested here and I doubt you'd skip throwing in a low dose doxy script due to limited research and out of concerns for antibiotic resistance/her Gi tract.

Yes, but there a still a lot of limitations to the Japanese study, before it would be recommended as a line of effective prophylactic treatment

And besides the point, we are talking about in this forum, a majority is M2F sexuality, and again the stigma and onus of infection lies mainly in the female population and the hetero males tend to minimize their own risks and responsibilities when it comes to sexual health because they remain asymptomatic for longer periods of time

And you can prescribe doxy, but as soon the SE kick in, the compliance will drop, and the female patient not wanting to miss out on revenue will continue without doxy anyway, thereby increasing the chances of infection and spread

When it comes to individuals to do their part, it won’t happen, and it can chain react to an epidemic through Swiss Cheese model of lack of safety, but when education and awareness are brought to the forefront in a community, and least that as a whole can decrease the risk in the community with simple testing and proper barrier use

STD’s are not going to be reported in TER, and most of the time men do not even report STD symptoms to a physician. Men would rather live with mild STD discomfort than admit they caught and STD, and also a majority of times they are asymptomatic but still a carrier of the STD, thus becoming more of a danger to the next woman they have unprotected sex with.

Women are much more likely to be affected by an STD because by nature they have a larger surface areas of genito-urinary space to cover and higher likelihood to be infected

Do not be lulled into false security with underreporting and even the use of PreP is only effective when taken consistently, and you need to know who is actively taking it, and if they are actively taking it then they are living with HIV

The only reason I think you think i'm "downplaying" is because I think myself included most people have this notion that if you have irresponsible unprotected sex with one of these high volume providers you are basically all but guaranteed to catch something which I don't see much evidence to suggest is true. You seem like you have a background in health, you know the average person doesnt know their risks about certain behaviors despite thinking it might seem common knowledge(ie “Doc, i only smoke a pack a day, how did I get cancer?, “I only have a couple of beers during the week, sometimes more on the weekends, sometimes when Im feeling down, but Im not an alcoholic”, “No way I have HIV, that girl wasnt a street walker, and I washed my dick after, oh and i might have unprotected sex with a guy I met on the internet, but im not gay”)

And again, the average guy sometimes doesnt know what an STD looks like or feels like(“ Doc, after i slept with this girl, Im peeing different, my pee looks yellow” -ok, I ran the tests, your good, your pee is usually yellow, you just thought you got something” )

It’s better to over-emphasize the risk, and “upplay” the benefits of safe sex,

will you get into a car crash just going down the street to the convenience store on a Sunday morning, the probability is low, and seatbelt is not needed

Would you wear a seatbelt when youre driving at night, and the roads are slick with ice, visibility is low and theres heavy traffic, and conditions are right for an accident, yeah wearing a seatbelt will help more than harm or be an irritation

Yeah, accidents happen especially when it comes to sex, if you happen to be guy number 50 for BBFS, just get tested afterwards and know your status
