Trivial; Yet Needed Terminology

Getting the breakdown of SW terminology is something I think we should stay up on. There are new meanings for everything, with a constantly revolving door of terminology that I, being a client, have to keep up on. I didn’t think I would learn obvious terminology from an adult photographer, although I guess they would know, working as a professional in their field. As basic as this terminology is, I believe knowing the basics even to this extent is needed as a reminder.

Screenshot 2025-12-28 085759.pngThe clarification came from a photographer known as Porn Picasso. He shoots SWers of every kind and also creates logos while helping with brand development, so he does a little bit of everything. With this, I’m sure he’s heard so many stories that led to him writing out this terminology, which some of us do get confused about at times. That confusion can make clients look bad, as well as performers, which we’ve been hearing about for the last month or so.

What caught my eye, of course, were the last two definitions. Picasso broke down the difference between escorting and meets. As a client and a provider, for that matter we see it as the same thing, and to be honest, it really is the same thing. It's possible for a provider to offer nothing more then companionship without anything sexual happening but we rarely see that. However, he broke it down further in the comments, explaining the difference in terms of safety concerns, safety being from a legal standpoint. Escorting being literally nothing but companionship, with nothing sexual happening, while meets are something where that is guaranteed. When it was broken down like that, I can kind of understand, even though the two are very much one and the same in the hobby.

Everything else above isn’t really made for us. I’m sure there’s a reason why he decided to put all of this terminology together. I see this as more for performers, as many do get the hobby and the industry confused, expecting one thing when the other is certain. I wouldn’t know for sure what performers go through, but I would expect one would know the difference between all of these terms.

As trivial as this list is, some of us do need the reminder. A lot of us would think these are common sense, but if we’ve learned one thing in this hobby, it’s that common sense is not common.

Still, when IO think of terminology I always think of the craziest shit I've learned since being in the hobby. For instance, look up "Green Bay Butter Churned" and "Ohio Cream Cheese Sandwich.":ROFLMAO:
