Damn I don't want to be that guy but birth rates are down in many western countries but are not globally so to fix this we have migration. The amount of people on earth isn't a problem it's how they are dispersed/located. Birth rates will also naturally come down as women put off having kids to focus on their careers and with many countries having terrible parental leave it only incentivizes women to delay being out of work /off the corporate ladder to give birth. Not to get political - fix parental leave ensure its more shared so either parent can feel they can take time off and be OK at work, also migration (controlled), Japan didn't allow migration as much coupled with a declining birth rate = demographic clusterfuck. I could go on but it's probably not the right forum

Competition is the real thing that will change things. Only a small group make most of the money and rest aren't making a lot.
