Having an SB is indeed something you need to think about - because sooner or later (in 98% of cases), the connection ends.
Since we’re on EA, I want to talk specifically about having a provider as an SB. Not because the difference is massive, but because the dynamics are slightly different: a provider already knows the transactional world, already understands boundaries, and usually has her life structured around clients and tours. That can make the SB arrangement easier… or harder… depending on how you handle yourself.
By the third session, I invited her to a country with crystal-clear beaches and summer all year round. She said yes.
Minor problem: she got arrested a day after I bought the tickets.
(Only for a month… but yeah, timing was not the most convenient for me.)
Those are the top 1% situations and usually involve either a multi-millionaire or a man who lost the plot.
The truth?
Having a provider as an SB does not need to be expensive.
Not even close.
The only time an SB becomes “expensive” is when you are physically together.
That’s when common sense takes a vacation and the small head takes the controls.
That’s it.
No absurd “allowances,” no massive burn rate, no financial death spiral.
This is where you choose your own level of stupidity.
Because when you’re with an SB you genuinely like, your brain chemistry changes, completely.
You soften up, A LOT.
You loosen the wallet.
You forget you’re running a personal economic model and start running a hormone/sex-driven fantasyland budget.
That’s where the economics get real and it´s only after months and months that you've realize just how much you've spent on her and this relationship - trust me, it really is.
If you go into it with a plan, a budget, and some self-control, it can be a great arrangement.
If you go into it blindly without a plan, you’ll end up one of those guys on 90-days fiancé. By the way, I LOVE that show.

My Example
I’ve actually had an SB - a provider from Paraguay. Met her as a client.By the third session, I invited her to a country with crystal-clear beaches and summer all year round. She said yes.
Minor problem: she got arrested a day after I bought the tickets.
(Only for a month… but yeah, timing was not the most convenient for me.)
So Let’s Talk Economics — the REAL Numbers
There are ridiculous stories floating around - guys sending $5K, $10K, and even more then that in extreme cases.
Month-to-Month Costs (When Not Together)
Most months when I wasn’t physically with her, my expenses were shockingly normal:- Some clothes here and there
- Her phone bill
- Maybe some practical smaller things
That’s it.
No absurd “allowances,” no massive burn rate, no financial death spiral.
Where the Real Spending Happens
The big purchases came when we were in the same country - flights, hotels, Airbnbs, restaurants, activities etc.
The Actual Lesson
The economics of having a provider as an SB are quite predictable:- On the "cheaper" end when you’re apart
- Expensive when you’re together
If you go into it with a plan, a budget, and some self-control, it can be a great arrangement.
If you go into it blindly without a plan, you’ll end up one of those guys on 90-days fiancé. By the way, I LOVE that show.
