What started casual turned into a 45-minute deep dive on a topic I thought I understood, rates. How providers set them, what influences them, and what we as clients assume they mean.
The convo kicked off when a friend told us about a provider he was booking off TrystLink. Now, this wasn’t one of those faces you just scroll past. She’s stunning—the kind of provider you double back on just to make sure the page is legit. The layout, the photos, the tone… all polished. Add to that a verified X account with nearly half a million followers, some solid content showcasing her style, and it was clear this wasn’t some throwaway account. She’s the real deal. Everything about her gave “seasoned, high-end provider” vibes… except her rates. That’s where everything stopped making sense. Her rate was below $500—and not in an “intro special” kind of way.
