That’s a really shitty thing to do. Nobody deserves that. I had the opposite happen to me where a provider stole a four figure deposit from me lying to me every step of the way. Ironically, that provider was also in NYC and very well reviewed and even someone who I successfully met before so I was completely shocked when they pulled that on me. It sucks that people just can’t do honest business. Makes everything more difficult for everyone. This industry relies on implied trust more than almost any other, and when that gets violated it’s hard not to feel betrayed and angry. I wish there was a way to make that guy pay for what he did and for all people who take advantage of someone like that.
