Provider prices in the 80s

I came across several different articles yesterday about how much a provider would charge in the 80s, and I was actually shocked, to say the least. I read several articles from the mid to late 80s and found one common thread: the prices were much like today.

Take this article from 1987 from the LA Times about "Date-for-hire" services. The thing that really caught my eye in the article was that the fees for these call girls were "$150 an hour," which is about $410 in today's money. That’s a high price for the 80s, especially when you look at the prices of other things.

I also found this bit from Forbes, which goes over the prices of providers throughout history.

We all know that street walkers generally charged and still charges the lowest prices. From what I've read, call girls made around $160-175 an hour back then, meaning they could take home significantly more than street walkers.

Can any of you gentlemen who were around during the 80s and (very) early 90s confirm what the exact prices were?
