I think I've shared part of this story before in a comment here on EA, but I thought, "Why not make a whole post about it?" So here goes.

When I was in my mid-20s, I experienced a real crisis—but not your usual kind. Oh no, my crisis couldn’t be seen with the naked eye. I was addicted to porn and couldn’t get enough. The porn I watched got more and more hardcore. I was pretty hooked on Gag Factor. Back then, those scenes led me to watching FacialAbuse. Lesbian scenes, Facefucking scenes, Anal scenes, regular scenes—I watched it all. I would watch porn for 4–5 hours straight every night for about two weeks.
Every night. I didn’t experience any dopamine crashes during the day, but I was always looking forward to the highlight of my day—nighttime, just me, my Mac, and lube/several toys.

This was during the time I knew my (former) sugarbabe, and we were a year into our relationship. She texted me one day asking if I would come to Madrid to see her.
I said yes, despite having a major problem. I couldn’t get hard. Watching porn for 4–5 (and sometimes even more) hours every night had really messed with my brain and my ability to get an erection. I knew this because, in the midst of my addiction, I tried to book a half-hour session with a local provider. I remember it like it was yesterday—30 of the most embarrassing minutes of my life. She welcomed me at the door, as usual, and we headed to the bedroom. She started dancing on me, which under normal circumstances would turn on any guy—but nothing. No reaction, not even a hint of life in my dick. I was as flaccid as ever. She tried everything: a handjob, a handjob with lube, a blowjob... She even suggested watching porn together, but nothing worked. I walked home pretty damn ashamed of myself. My manhood felt shattered because, let’s be honest, the ability to get hard is a huge part of our sense of manhood.

That night, as usual, I continued watching porn with my half-hard, half-flaccid dick. There were only about four weeks left before I had to meet my sugarbabe in Spain. I had to stop, and so I did... about 6–8 days later. I went three weeks without watching porn. I unfollowed all models on Instagram and X, going full "monk mode." Flash forward to three days before my trip, and it felt like my erections were slowly starting to return. I had my first morning boner in a long time on the day of my travel, which was a colossal win for me. In the end, I managed to get fully hard and had sex with her multiple times that week.

If this were happening today, I’d probably just take a Cialis or Viagra, which works more "in the moment." These days, I still watch porn, but once in a while, I’ll just read a sex story or something to get aroused and work one out that way.
