Planning safe South American trip

So I plan on taking a trip to either Colombia or Brazil next year now that I've gotten things back on track after a very rough year for me. I wanna see...

So I plan on taking a trip to either Colombia or Brazil next year now that I've gotten things back on track after a very rough year for me. I wanna see what's out there as far as the women, but I've seen enough of these horror stories to know they can go sideways real quick. Luckily I speak Spanish and know some Portuguese, but I know that's not a guarantee to not getting robbed or much worse, and I feel like street walkers would be an even bigger gamble for those reasons. Any tips you guys have to see some pretty South Americans while keeping my kidneys? Any websites I should look to for these areas?

My 2 cents. I would stay away from Colombia at the moment. Especially if traveling solo - while there are great girls to see, there are a ton of girls that will set you up quick!

I go to Brazil 2 - 3 times a year for 10 days a pop. I've never felt unsafe and in my opinion aside from the women, there is just more to do. I just returned from Brazil a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic trip. Great food, excellent local activities and women.

No, I keep it to Rio. I enjoy the beachy relaxation vibe because I try to get some vacation enjoyment as well. Sao Paulo does have incredible women because that's where the money is in Brazil but San Paulo is more business oriented. Every time I go to Rio I tell myself I'm going to take 2 or 3 days and fly to San Paulo but I never do.

My advice would be to go to one of the better areas in Brazil. There are a lot of criminal gangs in both countries, but with Colombia, even if you stay in Medellín, it’s a higher risk than many cities in Brazil, as far as I’ve heard and seen

Are you familiar with termas in Brazil? Essentially legal brothels. You may get the gringo price, but you almost certainly won't get robbed or worse. Happy hunting and safe travels.

Private55.com and barravipsrio.com are really not needed. I've been there many times and I have used those sites all of 2 times. Termas are great (just do research) - meeting girls on the beach as well. A little tinder action helps. But in my opinion (I would say at this point I'm a Brazil vet) LOL those sites are not needed unless you just plan to stay inside the entire trip.
