It’s very lucrative to be a pimp and, it’s rare that they get “caught”. I dont know about the US but on Europe it is so. The pimps usually walks free and/or are not even arrested and why should they (expect for if they beats the women - of course).

Escorts are vulnerable and they need protection. Supply and demand.
