With the obvious money problems the US is facing hobbyist like ourselves are finding it harder to enjoy the luxury of a provider. This doesn’t stop most of us from still enjoying ourselves whereever we can get it booking providers close to a dozen times a year not necessarily asking for much in return. Mind you, I’m talking about the initial booking anything during the session we get what we pay for. With the numerous bookings with or without the same provider (if you have P411) one would usually get grandfathered in reaping all the benefits of such, discounts, personal phone number, early tour release, etc. I believe being grandfathered in is becoming a rarity mainly because of the discounts that are being offered.
I was in a Twitter Space a couple days back and I listened as providers spoke of the discounts being offered to there regular clients. It centered around the providers seeing these regulars but the money not matching what they would get if they were seeing other clients or non-regulars as they put it. Giving the regulars discounts lead to them being booked a little more often, but the money from a non-regular client ultimately worked out in their favor financially. After hearing that it was spoke on providers limiting the clients they grandfathered in to keep up with there financials to continue in the hobby.
I’m not a hobbyist who looks to be grandfathered in. I don’t see providers ten, eleven, twelve times a year, so something like this doesn’t really affect me. With the way the US is right now I understand why providers are limiting Grandfathered in clients, but I think this is something that can be fixed more on their part then affecting regular clientele. One provider tweeted “No one is grandfathered starting today. I may see grandfathers but I do not offer AARP discounts or any other! You can show your continued loyalty to me by supporting my success.” Every client wants to support there favorite provider this goes without question, but to shut down your regular clients all together seems excessive.
EA give me some outlooks, because this seems very aggressive in my eyes.
