Social media is, in some ways, getting back to its roots—people giving us a step-by-step of their day along with their thoughts and feelings throughout it. We’re seeing more honesty about the ups and downs, showing us that not everything is sunshine and rainbows. We saw this with Addyson James when she posted about her declining industry career. Now, we’re seeing it with Amber Stark, who let her entire fanbase know she’s been dealing with serious health concerns over the past year.Just a couple of days ago, Amber took to social media to address her absence from sex work. She revealed she’d been battling a severe eating disorder. She was starving herself for one reason or another, partly due to the constant comments she received on social media. As we all know, online comments can be brutal. For adult performers, a lot of them are about looks—especially weight gain. Amber says she dealt with it daily, with a fair number of her comments calling her fat. To most people in the industry, these comments might roll off their back. But for others, like Amber, they can hit deep.
It got so bad that Amber’s weight dropped to a dangerously unhealthy 80 pounds. For perspective—that’s a normal weight for an eight-year-old. She was far below the healthy range for someone her age and height. Thankfully, Amber realized how bad things were before her body completely shut down from malnutrition.
Now, she’s at a healthier 100 pounds. That’s still slightly lower than what health professionals consider ideal, but it’s a strong start on her journey back to full health and to becoming a better sex worker. Amber explained that she’s back on OnlyFans, shooting solos and customs. On top of that, she says her ass and tits look amazing after the weight gain—which, honestly, I can’t wait to see. She might have that slender-yet-thick thing going on, and my mind can’t help but imagine a redheaded Sheena Shaw. God knows what that looks like.
With her return to making content, I think it’s only a matter of time before Amber starts providing again. I believe she still has some time before she gets to that point—she’ll likely focus on shooting mainstream content and regaining her footing there before doing one-on-ones again. Still, unless she requests to be removed from @trystagency roster, I’m going to assume she’ll be ready and available when the time is right. Hell, for all we know, she could still be providing now—but I doubt it.
Regardless, if and when you see Amber, don’t just book an hour session. Take her out for dinner or brunch. Get her a meal that will stick to her bones and help her health. Show that you care about her well-being and that you understand what she’s been going through mentally. Body dysmorphia isn’t as rare as people think. If all we can do as clients is treat her to a good meal, we should do that. Even if you do book just an hour, bring her a burger and fries—or hell, a Beyond Burger might be even more appreciated.
This whole situation is a reminder of the power we, as men, have. The shit we say can have consequences. It might not affect us directly, but it can do serious harm to others. Social media will always be a place for people to voice their opinions—needed or not. But sometimes, the best thing to do is shut the fuck up and try to see it from that person’s point of view. That’s all.
