Call this what you want, but my MYLF senses were going off. I thought something was wrong internally for a bit—until I finally figured out what my body was trying to tell me. Legendary adult actress Amber Lynn is mounting a comeback into the industry, and I could not be more excited about it. Amber was the woman who came before so many others we know today, and to hear she’ll be giving us another round of her amazing acting is just astonishing.Now, am I thrilled Amber is coming back to the industry just to shoot again? 10/90. Some background. Amber began working in the industry around the time adult stars were everywhere. Debuting in 1983, Amber was a star from the moment she stepped in front of the camera—though her fans wouldn’t really realize it until a few years later. You see, Amber didn’t shoot consistently early on because she was a wildly popular exotic dancer who loved working the circuit. Supposedly, she broke a record or two as a dancer, including one for most live performances.
From about ’84 into the ‘90s, Amber shot consistently—mainstream and adult—and I’m not just talking about porn. She was featured in a mainstream horror film and made recurring appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Amber was doing all this while shooting adult films and dancing. You could definitely say she was a very successful sex worker back then—and she didn’t even have to fuck 1,000 dudes to get there.
There’s a hell of a lot more I could say (and hopefully will, if things go right), but let me stick to Amber’s return.
Now, Amber hasn’t shot any professional scenes in quite a while. If I had to ballpark it, I’d say it’s been close to a decade or more. A lot of the “new” scenes you might’ve seen are actually older scenes being recycled—not that it makes them any less entertaining. The only real new content we’ve gotten from Amber is her webcamming, which she’s done religiously for her longtime fans. She’s been at it for years now. I’ve never joined one of her shows personally, but from the clips I’ve seen, she still has the same enthusiasm and amazing body that made her so popular from the ‘80s onward.
Beyond my own gut feeling, I first got a hint that something was going on when I saw Amber listed as appearing at Miami Exxxotica. Crazy enough, she was also at Chicago’s—and I had no idea. That alone shows she’s serious about getting back in the mix. Let’s not forget New Jersey is coming up in a couple months, and she’s scheduled to appear there too. Amber’s firing on all cylinders.
After seeing that, I decided to dig a little deeper. I landed on Amber’s official website, where I found a small blurb she posted just over a week ago, on June 13th. It was titled: “Is Adult Star Amber Lynn Making a Hardcore Comeback?” In it, Amber briefly talks about the fans who’ve been with her since day one, what she’s been doing while not shooting, and her feelings about returning to the industry. There’s also a photo with fellow adult stars Taylor Vixxen and Brittany Andrews. So it’s safe to say Amber is slowly making her way back—and I’d bet her first professional scene drops before the end of the year.
Now, this leads me to the hobby.
I’ve heard nothing about Amber providing. And when I say nothing, I mean nothing. Zero. Zilch. A big fat hole in the wall. I’ve looked. I’ve even asked TA—something I very rarely do since I don’t like bothering that man with frivolous things. He hadn’t heard anything either. So there’s a strong possibility Amber never provided, and probably won’t start now.
Still… that picture with Brittany Andrews gives me a glimmer of hope. And maybe @connman might’ve seen her—who knows? I’m just really hoping Amber considers it. She’s never been on my list before… until now. And even now, I don’t know if I’ll regret that or not.
Whether she shoots again or not, Amber Lynn’s return already feels like a win for longtime fans and adult film lovers alike. She doesn’t owe us a thing — her legacy is cemented — but the fact that she’s even considering a comeback says a lot about her love for the game and the people who’ve followed her since the VHS era. As for whether she’ll dip a toe into the provider world? I’m not holding my breath… but I’m not giving up hope either. Stranger things have happened — and if Amber Lynn’s proven anything, it’s that she knows how to make an entrance.
