Today was an incredible treat—I had the chance to meet up with two fellow forum members, @Swytypy and @Joel Goodson, for drinks and a bite to eat. It was one of the best times I’ve had in a long while because there were no filters—just us being ourselves.

This meetup had been in the works for weeks. Originally, it was just going to be me and Swytypy, but Joel and @Tipsy_gentleman were also free that day, so we decided to turn it into a group hang. Unfortunately, Tipsy had to cancel at the last minute, so we were a man down, but we still made the most of it.

We chose a spot on 38th—a rooftop bar I probably wouldn’t have discovered on my own. The place was buzzing, with a great vibe that instantly made it clear why it’s so popular. Swytypy and Joel were already there when I arrived, chatting it up at the bar. I walked over, genuinely surprised at how down-to-earth both of them were. For some reason, I tend to hold high expectations for people I meet from the hobby, and these two absolutely lived up to them. Considering the time and effort they’ve both put into the community, it all made sense.

Once we got started, the conversation flowed naturally—just like on the forum but better. There wasn’t a dull moment. We talked about the providers we’ve seen, the ones we’re planning to see, and the ones who are just unforgettable. We also shared our thoughts on different agencies and hot topics from the forum. Despite our best efforts to keep our voices down, the side-eyes from nearby tables made it clear people could hear us. Did we care? Not even a little.

Lunch itself was absolutely amazing. I’m not just talking about the food, though it was excellent (and I’ll definitely be taking providers there in the future). What really stood out was the freedom to be ourselves among like-minded people. It’s not something I can easily put into words, but it felt liberating. We laughed, debated, and shared so many stories about the hobby. The forum is great for connecting, but meeting in person brings everything into perspective. There was a mutual respect at that table that’s hard to replicate online.

Joel suggested making this a regular thing, and I couldn’t agree more. He even floated the idea of expanding the group, which I think is a fantastic idea. It would be great for more well-known members to meet face-to-face. It’s like creating a new level of camaraderie—call it the next evolution of Eskimo Brothers.
