I know this might not matter to everyone, but I’m trying to cover as much as possible for the upcoming season. Today, I want to touch on the standings and the point system—two things that are crucial for keeping the league competitive and making sure everyone is on the same page. Of course, with a higher entry fee likely this year, that alone should keep everyone engaged, but adding a little more structure never hurts.
Point System
I didn’t change anything major here. I kept it simple and standard—we were running a PPR league, so I used standard PPR scoring across the board. If you take a look at the charts below, you’ll see it's basically the same as last year. I haven’t heard any major complaints about the scoring from last season, which is why I didn’t make adjustments. That said, if anyone has suggestions or wants to propose changes, drop them in the comments. It’s all possible—but unless there’s a strong case, I don’t see a need to tweak what’s already working.

@hibachi67 brought up a good point, there should be more to the playoff structure than just the semifinals and finals. I agree—it makes sense to include consolation brackets to keep teams engaged even after they’re out of the championship race. If we do vote to add consolation matches, we’ll figure out what the winner of that bracket gets. That might depend on the final entry fee, which still hasn’t been set yet—even though I’ve seen most of the votes and know where the group is leaning. I'll bring that up in another post.
