Even with all the information I share in the community daily, I had no idea there was an awards ceremony for providers. Living here in the States, we tend to have the mentality that providing is wrong and illegal—which, to be fair, is true when it comes to legality. However, we often forget about how the rest of the world views it. While there are certain parts of the world that frown upon providing just as much as the U.S. does, there’s actually a place where providers and industry professionals are congratulated with awards for having successful careers in the hobby.

From what I’ve gathered, the Australian Adult Industry Awards (AAIA) is a major event that celebrates and acknowledges excellence within Australia’s adult industry. Established in 2001, it recognizes performers, businesses, and other professionals in the adult entertainment sector, including escorts, dancers, photographers, content creators, and industry service providers. Maybe I’m just wishful thinking, but something like this could give sex workers the recognition they deserve. It might even help to separate the stigma surrounding consensual sex work from sex trafficking.

I have been seeing some awards for this one, and I feel it's empowering them to do more of this. Also, clients can attend this event, and they are given two types of wristbands, with one band allowing them not to be part of media attention, and along with that, clients are getting special privileges. Also, the girls are advocating for the de-criminalization of sex work, and imo if it happens in the U.S., this would only make PS or other girls enter in providing, but the chances of this happening in the U.S. are less considering the way PS and escorts are treated. @king-sama4u2nv

Seems as if it's easier to criminalize escorting then empowering it. To many people enjoy lumping consensual sex in with raping, trafficking, kidnapping. We're way to far gone to do anything that will put providing in a better light. If anything it will put the hobby in a more darker light then it already is.
