Are you getting a discount for sponsoring a FMTY?

I'm noticing folks are quick to jump on these " FMTY" sponsor trips for PS.

Is there an underline current that I've been missing:

You sponsor a PS to your city so she can entertain clients but she will see you as well...more than once or at a discount while she's there.

Is that what's going on?
