The way the article is written had made me think that OF is not best for someone who is about to start career in adult entertainment but for someone who has been very successful in the industry and has a huge fanbase probably this could be why (maybe a stretch) many newly joined PS are either joining escort or just use mainstream companies as headstart and build up fanbase in 2-3 yrs and jump to using multiple platforms like Fansly, ManyVids to get more money.

Now this is just for 2023 don't know what it is for this year which might be revealed in next year

These figures are generally understating it because everyone who signs up for an account is a "creator" even if they don't post anything, which is why everyone who actually makes content is in "top 0.1% of creators!!!"

So basically, the creators are reaping the benefits of the actual content creators. With the average content creator only getting paid $1,300 it doesn't really seem worth it unless you're one of the 1% that are popular. Still, I don't think this is going to stop some fresh content creators from trying to become famous on their. With adult entertainment being used as nothing more then a platform for content creators to gain more followers, the rinse and repeat cycle will continue.

Would be more interesting to see what the median income is for creators, these statistics are obviously skewed towards super earners like pornstars like Riley Reid and streamers like Amouranth and Corinna Kopf.

Also should be understood that you're unlikely to build a strong following just based off OF, you'll need to build a core audience on another platform eg Twitter, Twitch, Instagram, then you're likely to have a solid base. Even if the average of $1,300 was representative, that's a really poor ROI, might as well work minimum wage job and do it on the side.

Interesting info but I call cap on some of those creator numbers. Skyler Mae for example. In trending it says her sub cost is $3 but below when talking about revenue it says its $24 and even then the numbers don't add up. Even if half her current subs were free ie 2.3m paying subs, and the revenue split was 50-50 ie she makes $1.5 or $12 just off subs, that still should be more than the stated 800k a month they're saying she makes. So numbers need to be investigated but still, OF is very lucrative if you have a solid fanbase
