Kayla Katt scammed me out of $2000 in an unbelievable way. I had met her once recently and had a great time, wanted to see her again but she was going to retire at the end of June. She agreed to meet once more and had me Zelle her. I didn’t think anything of it since we already met and she had up to this point a great reputation and great reviews, not a single bad one I could find, so I thought I could trust her. Then she emails me that she’s sick and can’t make it but she’ll get back to me in a week and she’ll still see me since I sent the deposit. I thought ok no problem I can be flexible with my time. A week passes no reply. Another week passes and still nothing. I got a cold myself so I didn’t mind waiting a bit. Then I email her asking for an update and it bounces back in my inbox. Her site and all socials are gone. Her email apparently deactivated. She took my money and ran. I couldn’t fucking believe it. She was the first person I was gonna see more than once and the first person I was gonna do a 3 hour booking with, and this is what I get. If you can’t trust someone you already met in person with great reviews, how the fuck can you trust anybody? I feel so violated by this shit. Sick to my stomach. Not just the money part, the trust part. It’s not like I fell for an impersonator or some random person on the street, this is a person with a great reputation who I already met and had a good experience with. This makes me want to quit the hobby. I don’t know how I can enjoy this anymore.

Seriously though, I'm sorry this happened to you man. It this was any random provider you haven't met before I doubt you'd care all to much but since you've seen Kayla it hits different. I've never meet her myself though I heard good things about her. Sucks the last thing to hear about her is being a suppose it scammer.

Still, don't let something like this push you away from the hobby. This is something to dwell on for a couple days maybe a week tops, but if anything you should treat it as a lesson. Don't get me wrong though, if this happened with a provider I was close with I'd feel the same way you are, but I'd understand this shit happens so much. I'd probably feel more about the money then the provider. Lol

The best thing you can do, IMO, is make sure this doesn't happen to another client and rant about if need be. That usually helps a lot of us.

You wanna know the real fuck shit about this. Even though she's retiring for now there's a strong chance she'll comeback to providing rebranding herself. Anyway, sorry man. Just keep enjoying yourself.

I agree with King that you shouldn't dwell on this and definitely shouldn't let one experience with one provider ruin your enjoyment of the hobby. Find an elite or PS provider who appeals to you who has excellent reviews and feedback, ideally someone with a trusted agency like @trystagency, so you know you won't get scammed, and let her show you a fantastic time and remind you why you got into the hobby in the first place. As I told Reese Robbins a couple of months ago when she was fretting about a bad experience and damaging review that was heavily biased if not completely untrue, the best way to negate bad reviews is to get good ones. The best way to get past a bad experience like this is with a great one. Let this experience guide you as a lesson learned but not follow you around like an albatross.

Have you considered using a reputable agency? I had suggested going through Tryst earlier. You may still need to provide a deposit, but you won’t be scammed or left in the cold. Going private/independent comes with more risk, even if it’s not that common.

I had to carefully explain why I was asking for the refund. It wasn’t fun, but it was all online via chat and forms, and everyone I dealt with was respectful.

You can try and say it was for a personal service, and be more specific only if needed, saying it was for a massage. Worst that’ll happen is they’ll say no and you’re no worse off than you are now. And maybe a little embarrassed around people you’ll never meet or chat with again.

It’s a little different when you run a business that can replenish money, at least with that you can regenerate your money just with time and waiting. I work commission only so I have to scratch and claw for everything I earn. If I’m not always moving and working, I don’t make anything. And it’s a real stab in the back when the person I go to to emotionally relax unwind and have fun with does something like that to me. Or to anyone. Tbh it actually feels worse that I’m seemingly the only person she’s done this to. The fact that there weren’t any negative reviews anywhere and I happen to be the only lucky one to get scammed makes the whole thing feel even more shitty. If it was someone with a sketchy reputation then it’s like hey I know I’m taking a gamble I can’t complain if I lose out. But when it’s someone that’s supposed to be a sure thing, it makes me feel like I really can’t trust anyone even a little bit, and that means I can never relax and lever let my guard down, which for me is the whole point of the hobby.

PayPal actually referred me to the 3rd party billing service that VR Bangers uses, and they kept referencing BS that the site spewed, so I had to go to Bank of America, who basically said “we got you, bro”.

I agree with @Swytypy. Maybe going through an agency is what you need @Dolby511. There's always a chance shit will go sideways with an independent provider whether PS or EC, but with an agency the chances are much more slim. At least give that a try. There are plenty you can choose from.

As much as I wish it was that helpful, I’m pretty much one of the last clients she saw before she retired. She just chose to scam me on the way out so it’s not like there’s any new clients that are at risk. I was just the unlucky one to have two grand stolen from him, and as far as I know I may very well be the only person she’s ever done that to. There should be a go fund me thread for people that were victims of such blatant scams.

I’ve never once done anything creepy to be honest. I’ve never pry into the girls personal life and I took a long break from even seeing escorts because I was living with a girl I met while she was working as an escort and I didn’t want things to go sideways because she found out I was fucking other escorts.

But if a girl that I met ever did this to me I’d probably track her down and get my money back at a place she would never want to see me and try and make her as uncomfortable as possible. No threats of violence or anything like that. Just sitting down next to her at a place that would make her as uncomfortable as possible so that she would be appalled and mortified by the very sight of me and pay me very quickly to go away and never see me again.
