As easy as it has been to talk provider-related topics on X, it's easier to see that they've been cracking down hard on it. The last couple of years have made it difficult for a client to do much of anything on X, so you can imagine how the providers feel. Not too long ago, X did a giant purge of sex worker profiles, leaving many to have to start over from scratch. One provider was nice enough to break down the recent updates that X has gone through and how they would affect clients and providers moving forward.

Of course, X has cracked down more on keywords. Typing in words like rate, tribute, drain, or even send will have your comment or post flagged. A lot of people think X doesn’t pick up on what the SWer side of their app is doing, but they really are. It's all system-based, as they use their algorithm to flag these words along with any pictures that appear next to them. As much as it's helping the app itself, the community is most likely going to have to invent new terms in order to get around this slight bump in the road.
I’ve noticed I haven’t been able to see some of my favorite accounts. I have to literally go on that profile and mark it as one I want to see, just to know what the provider is posting. It’s the only way to keep up with what they’re up to and what tours to expect. Now, it seems the more provocative pictures the provider posts, the less of a chance we have to see them. X basically represses the provider’s profile, giving it less of a chance to appear on your FYP. This doesn’t happen right away just gradually as the provider frequently posts more explicit photos. This has been happening for years, in my opinion, but I’ve noticed it’s becoming much more dominant in the app as of late.
As mentioned before, any talk leading to money is pretty much done. The system won’t do anything to you right then and there when talking about payments or donations, but give it a couple of hours or even a day and you’ll get the warning all too quick.
It doesn’t matter how you try to spin it, X is working on phasing out sex workers doing business on their app. Even though I believe SWers are one of the biggest reasons the app is as popular as it is today, X still has to do its job stopping any kind of prostitution or solicitation happening through their platform. As much as I don’t like this, it’s the reality of it. So far, some have been able to get away with it, but it’s most likely the system hasn’t set its all-seeing eyes on them yet. There isn’t much we can do about this other than adapt and live with it.
