This has happened with 2 different Providers......both LOCAL.
I have to drive 2....sometimes 2.5 hours to see a Provider because none are in my immediate area.
One of my " go to" Providers was booked up one weekend holiday and had me on stand-by just in case of a last minute cancelation.
I asked for a referral but she claimed, she didn't know anyone in the area.
I had a second Provider who was having family/ friends come visit her one weekend so she couldn't accommodate me. I asked for a referral and she gives me the same response????
Both Providers are veterans who will act as a reference for me on PSE sites but strangely can't give a referral because they CLAIM not to know any other providers.
Any one else ever ran into this?
