I'm going to be brutally honest since Baby Gemini is being honest with us. This post she made is right on the money, but I think there are gray areas of it that need some interpretation. There are factors that are apparent between both sides of the hobby that, as clients, we know and may come off harsh, and providers know and see as just realistic. Still, the post itself may say little but speaks volumes to the hobby as a whole.
Let me start off by saying, if the minimum ever was to be $2,000 I would most likely stop partaking in it. Not because I'm uncomfortable with paying that much to see a provider you all know that isn't the case for me. I'll stop because I have to be sensible about the situation I'm in. Economically it wouldn't work for me since I'm just a 9 to 5 average worker living through the times we are in now, where every dollar counts. Things are expensive and with the added additions of GFE, BB, and other certain amenities you aren't just paying the base rate for a provider. This is also why I enjoy seeing the same providers, since the rapport we have as well as the amount of time I book them leaves me being grandfathered in.
My reasons are my own. Everyone is different and able to do more than the next person. Where I fall short there are thousands of others who can afford this hobby even more. Though this is where those gray areas come in, as every provider isn't up to par to have their rate at $2,000 hourly. I'm not talking about Gemini in this situation since I could see dropping that for her. The minimum to book a provider has been between $1,200 and $1,500 for awhile now. Ever since post-COVID, providers have been in more demand after being stuck in our homes for a year. We're humans and we need affection. With that, prices went up as the demand got high—simple economics. Did everyone's prices go up? No, because those gray areas come into play. Call it what you will, as clients we take a lot of things into account. Whether we're talking about looks, cost, professionalism, experience you name it and it runs through our minds while finding the provider we're interested in.
Keep in mind, I'm really only speaking for myself. My thoughts on Gemini's post here ring true for a lot of us. If you aren't comfortable paying this much to see a provider you probably have to rethink if you want to be in the hobby. I know for sure we're inching closer and closer to $2,000 being the minimum for a PS provider, and when it happens that will be my time to find another hobby. As sexy as these women are and God knows they are sexy they aren't sexier than having a roof over my head and food in my stomach. You know, the essentials.
