I'm trying to figure out who’s in the wrong here exactly. I think I know, but the fact that I’m a client myself has me feeling a little biased toward the client in this story. Seeing this from both sides is the only way to make a fair judgment. This one hit hard for me because I’m the kind of person who books months in advance, not realizing that something could happen to make that booking difficult to follow through with. This provider’s situation really puts things into perspective and has me questioning if advance dates are really the way to go.

Screenshot 2025-11-04 092119.pngThe provider here is Spanish Barbiie. She’s a content creator who’s breaking ground in mainstream with a lot of potential. She’s been a provider for a while now, found mostly on TrystLink more than anywhere else. To know that she’s dealing with this kind of provider problem isn’t surprising, though it doesn’t make the situation any less frustrating.

As you can read, a client booked Barbiie months in advance. After she warned him not to since she’s been around the block and could already see this ending badly he still went through with the advance booking. Sure enough, the client’s plans fell through and he had to cancel, which explains the rant she’s rightfully having. To go months thinking a booking was going to happen just to have it fall apart can’t be a good feeling. It’s possible Barbiie was counting on that income, and now she has to lose that money and find another client to fill the slot. Something we’ve all seen happen time and time again.

Shit happens. The world isn’t black and white, and that bit of gray will probably fuck you in the ass with no lube. You can’t do anything about it other than deal with what’s happening the best way you can. I’m sure whatever happened with the client was out of his control. In my opinion, you don’t book someone months in advance only to say, “Fuck it, I don’t want to see you anymore.” Is it fucked up? Yeah. Does it happen? Hell yeah. But without knowing what happened with this client, there’s no way to judge. For all we know, it could’ve been an emergency or he might’ve lost his job.

From an impartial point of view, I’m leaning more toward the provider. With the amount of time and planning she put into this, being compensated fully should at least be considered. I’ve had to pay a full booking fee before it wasn’t the provider’s fault, it was mine. I didn’t account for certain things when booking. It hurt like a motherfucker to pay that booking fee and not get anything out of it, but if I know the fault lies with me, I have to make it right. Again, I don’t know what happened with this client. However, some type of compensation is definitely warranted.
