Just random shower thoughts, but I started thinking about what it would take for a noticeable amount of pornstars to start lowering their prices?

It’s seems like the norm now is anywhere from $1,200 - $3,000 an hour for top tier pornstar level talent. You would think with supply and demand the way it is now, with so many women in sex work, Onlyfans, porn, sugaring. etc. (you could argue the most accessible in human history) that prices would be trending down year over year consistently. Anecdotally I’ve seen all tiers of women continue to increase prices from the unknown gems in the stripclubs of Tijuana to world renowned stars like Angela White, it just feels like prices continue to go up and up and up in this hobby.

After looking into it, economically we’re not getting richer relative to the price increases of this hobby. In the U.S. at least, the median household income has been basically flat since 2018 and a wave of new talent has come onto the scene since then, so basically there are more women than ever to access but the same amount, if not less money for the average joe to spend, but yet prices continue to climb at what feels like a crazy pace.

I suspect things would have to get dire before you start to see prices of top tier girls decline. This isn’t just supply and demand, if it was then “any pussy would do” would come into play and you wouldn’t be looking at a specific girl.

You should do your same analysis but on something else high end, like a high end car or watch; I would think of this as more like buying a Rolex or something with strong brand recognition that’s very high end. You could probably think of a lot of things that would affect the price of watches overall, but something like Rolex would be a lot stickier. And I bet that Rolex doesn’t give two shits about the state of the median income.

I suspect as long as a girl’s brand is strong, or she feels her brand is strong, her prices will stay elevated, regardless of the state of the economy as a whole. It’s only when she feels like her brand has declined that prices go down and I suspect that will be when she’s past her prime.

I'm not even sure that guys not booking them would result in lower rates. I think it would just result in a stalemate. Revenue streams like OF will never allow prices to go down as long as inflation everywhere else continues going up.

The mindset seems like they would rather quit providing than lower prices. I don't think they will lower prices for any reason other than they want to. Fortunately, I see tons of really hot and even super famous PS keep their prices in the 1200 - 1600 range.

Porn would need to be outlawed or Onlyfans income would for whatever reason need to decline. As long as a SWer can make a solid income stream from non-in-person work, it's going to increase the cost of seeing pornstars in person(have to make it worth her time) and decrease the amount of overall in-person sex workers(why even bother with in-person when you can make same/better money online).

We can control the prices; it's up to us.

However, many of us fall for them and their ridiculous prices.
