I'm not trying to offend anyone, buuuuuut I'm probably gonna. oh well.

but what do we mean when we say "porn star"? because honestly, A LOT of these girls are not PS at all, they're just random hoes selling pussy. maybe they've done a little adult film work here and there, but when you search for them on PH you find little to nothing. I guess it's the "star" part of the term that I'm quibbling over.

To my mind, there is a difference between:
1*a random hoe
2*a girl who's done the one-off or occasional professional porn shoot
3*a girl who is on the come-up in the adult film biz
4*a bona fide porn STAR

maybe I'm not as familiar with the porn scene as some of you, but it seems to me that 3 and 4 are in very short supply. most are 1 and 2. am I wrong?

examples of what I, personally, would consider to be a 4 (just off the top of my head): Clara Trinity (Porn Companions), Veronica Rodriguez, and Chloe Temple (Porn Companions). Veronica Leal (but I have not been able to find good contact info for her, so not sure what her deal is).

There are a few others, I'm aware. But imho most of these girls seem like 1s and 2. Am I wrong? Again, not trying to offend anyone, either the girls or the guys.

I know that you're new on here so I'm not going to pass judgement. I'll just say that we all have our own different tastes and preferences on women, there's guys on here that book women that I would never want to. And I'm sure there's probably some women I see that they would say the same about. I will say, quality and price is a subjective point of view. I've never adhered to the philosophy of "I won't pay that much for her" or "she's not worth it". Everything in this hobby is a subjective point of view, if I want to pay $20,000 for an IG model, then I can. Some guys may not want to and I respect that. I also try not to ever use number systems to grade women.
As far as women advertising themselves as Pornstars, women will use any medium to market themselves and to make themselves more profitable. And why shouldn't they? We would do the same thing if we were providers, use every best angle that you can to maximize your profit.

Having said that, we have some guys on here that are very knee jerk and reactionary people, who are quick to jump on posts like this without processing. Try to keep that in mind whenever you post something on here. You're new on here so you're kind of learning the ropes. I don't think you meant anything harmful by what you posted, just venting.

I don't believe he's "white-knighting" as you put it. He's trying to convey it doesn't matter what they call themselves you're still going to book. As the example used "I have yet to have cheeseburger at McDonalds that looked like the burger in the commercial." As in, I'm still going to eat the burger even though it isn't the same being advertise on the screen.

Going as deep into what a PS is doesn't so much matter. You're going to book because their providers and you're possibly attracted to them.

If you are making movies for mainstream production companies, you have a social media following, you are gaining nominations or wins in porn awards, you are recognized as or considered to be a pornstar by others. I think this is a good indicator.

If you only have premium social media example, OnlyFans, I believe those are considered more as content creators.

I don’t know how many mainstream xxx movies you have to make or how many followers or how long do you have to be in the industry before being officially a “pornstar”.
