TrystLink’s Identity Crisis: When a Platform Forgets Who Built It

You know it’s bad when your own community starts turning on you. That’s the situation TrystLink finds itself in right now. The platform has gotten so big that it’s forgotten why it was created in the first place: for real providers to connect with real clients. Instead, what we’re seeing now is a flood of AI ads, scammer profiles, and OnlyFans self-promotion that has nothing to do with actual in-person work.

Just last week, a provider named Sirentia Bella kicked off an online petition calling out TrystLink for exactly this. Her post read:

“This is my online petition to get TrystLink to stop accepting AI/Scammer ads + people who are only promoting their OnlyFans and do not offer in-person services.”

She’s not alone. A growing number of providers have jumped in to share their frustrations.

Take Aubrey Sofia, for example. She’s been vocal about the bizarre reality of AI-generated ads getting verified by the site—even though real providers are still waiting weeks for verification after submitting actual IDs. That’s not just a tech glitch. That’s a slap in the face. Not taking into account your consumers aren't happy and continuing to move on like everything is fine is pretty disrespectful.

Then there’s veteran provider Lauren Miller, who’s had an even rougher experience. Tryst once invited her to promote the platform through her social media, but after her ad got repeatedly flagged and taken down by anonymous accounts—and customer service offered zero help—she’s understandably fed up.

Now, to be fair, this isn’t the first petition aimed at TrystLink. There have been others, but none have gained real traction or sparked meaningful change. The site continues to allow AI content and scammy profiles while sidelining the very providers who keep the platform afloat.

From a client’s perspective, the shift is noticeable too. The site doesn’t feel like it did even a year ago. OnlyFans creators, porn stars, and others looking for exposure—not bookings—are flooding the directory. Scammers are bouncing from one profile to the next, ripping off clients and leaving wreckage behind. And while not all AI-generated ads are easy to spot, the ones that are... stick out like a sore thumb.

Look, I get it—tech evolves, and so do scams. No platform is immune to scammer and bots. But that should never come at the expense of the real providers who use the site to make an honest living. They built TrystLink. They are the reason it exists today. If Tryst doesn’t start prioritizing them again, the community will continue to pull away—and fast. Respect the ones who made you.
