Here’s something I didn’t know: you are legally permitted to provide in Mexico. I always thought it didn’t really matter down there, with how much the government lets slide—but nope, you can legally become a provider and work in Mexico. I believe it works the same way Nevada does, where you’re only allowed to provide in certain areas. Which leads me to the Hong Kong Gentlemen’s Club, located in Tijuana.
Known as both a strip club and a brothel, the Gentlemen’s Club is famous not just across Mexico, but also right over the border in California. It’s a pretty unique spot, and a lot of that comes from how different the vibe is compared to your typical strip club. When you walk in, women get a wristband, and men don’t. There’s no clear reason why the wristbands are handed out, but I’m assuming it means something important.
The club itself looks and feels like a normal strip club—poles, stages, chairs, and tables all facing the action. But remember: this is Mexico, so expect to be checked at the door before you even step inside.
The strippers are the providers—and they can actually come at a pretty good bargain, depending. The process is a little different here: you first pay for their time (either upfront or by buying drinks), and then if you’re interested, the arrangement can move into providing. That’s a completely separate fee worked out between you, the provider, and the club—because it involves booking a private room at their on-site hotel.
Now, the club’s website gives off a "high-end" impression. But from the videos and pictures I’ve seen, it honestly looks more like a rundown brothel. When you go, you should already have an idea of what to expect—the club is in a one-block radius where escorting is legal, and the area reflects that. They do offer VIP services: you pay $70 and get certain discounts at the club, some drinks, and a few extras. Not sure if that includes anything with the providers, but you never know.
As far as the providers go: BB (bareback) is offered according to reports. But there’s a lot of speculation on whether the girls are tested regularly or not. So you’re risking a lot—and you need to be sure you really want to enjoy yourself before taking that leap.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see any roster of the women before you visit. You have to go there in person to see who's working. It sucks, but honestly, it’s a smart move on their part to get people through the door.
Something like this doesn’t really do it for me personally. Even though it’s easier to get to than a Nevada brothel, you can tell the club’s really loose with restrictions and structure that would normally be needed to keep the peace.
