The talk of pre-bookings has been making itself more apparent lately. With events like Exxxotica and AVN around the corner, providers have been encouraging clients to book ahead of time for a plethora of reasons. We’ve gone over this once or twice in the early days of the community, but that was all from a client’s point of view. I never thought to look at it from a provider’s perspective I’m not one, and like most, I tend to think about myself when booking. But a provider was nice enough to show us what exactly happens when a client pre-books from their side.
All of this seems pretty obvious, though not many of us actually think about it. When we cancel or don’t show up, we might assume it doesn’t mean much when in reality, it affects these providers financially in a big way. My thought process is that if we take this list into account, it’ll encourage more of us to know what we want before solidifying any plans to book. Again, I don’t know if this will matter to everyone, but once money is involved, it always plays a big part.
These five affirmations should be more than enough to change our outlook on pre-booking. When you combine it with our side of the hobby, it all makes sense — everyone gets what they want.
