The Ethics of AI for Content & How it Connected to Escorting

In the past two days, I’ve learned so much about the industry community, preferably those with their own platform. SWerX has been blowing up with workers giving their own opinions on how their platforms should be run. This specifically was about whether account holders should have an AI system interacting with their consumers. I would love to say that the majority of women holding platforms see this AI system as nothing more than a cheat, but I would be lying. Me being who I am, I had to coincide this with the providers who were speaking out in favor of this system as the talk of whether having AI chat is considered a scam or not came up.

As I read through so many posts, I saw a lot of people ruling in favor of this AI chat. We all know AI chats are taking over platforms, and as consumers, many of us can’t tell if it’s the account holders or a virtual assistant. In the beginning none of us could tell the difference we were able to enjoy ourselves freely but as time went on, less things began making sense. Account holders were answering DMs frequently, online constantly, and pushing their content through DM more often. This wasn’t something that was too apparent in the beginning, but as time went along it made sense. This is when the topic of whether AI chat bots were scamming consumers or not came up.

Many content creators and PSs brought up points that AI chat bots are needed that they thoroughly help with their platforms in ways that make running it all much easier. There are hundreds of consumers DMing them daily asking for different things, basically pulling them in different directions. When you add the time it takes to shoot content, go live, be social, and answer DMs personally from time to time, these creators have a lot on their plate. Mind you, this is just from a full-time content creator’s standpoint and not a PS who also juggles their mainstream career. This is a lot, and as someone who used to be an OnlyFans consumer, I can see how this is a lot. Although, the fact that account holders would rather consumers not know they’re talking to AI bots is alarming.

Screenshot 2025-12-05 104037.pngRaven Lane took to X to give her opinion on the matter and then some while this was all happening. Raven spoke on what doing the bare minimum as women in their position can do, and scamming us was it. She isn’t oblivious to what goes on in these platforms, as many of us get scammed regularly. The amount we don’t know about what happens behind these platforms could probably fill a book, and a lot of it is not in our favor. But I'm glad there are women like Raven who understand what we have to go through. Women like Raven are very rare and should be held close.

My thoughts on this are pretty simple. AI bots are the very reason I stopped visiting personal platforms. I understand that there are a lot of people trying to get creators’ attention and it can be overwhelming. As helpful as these bots are, they’re misleading. If it was something the creators really believed in, then they would let the consumer know that they’re talking to a bot. As easy as that would be, the creator would never do that. If we as the consumer knew we were talking to a bot, we wouldn’t waste our time and, more importantly, our money. I understand we can be demanding and all around show no empathy, but there are some consumers who are genuinely looking for a connection through these platforms in hopes of it evolving to a meet that usually does happen. Some spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on creators believing they’re talking to them when in reality, it’s a fucking bot.

This isn’t about whether creators should use tools that make their lives easier it’s about transparency. Nobody’s asking for perfection, constant availability, or emotional labor on demand. But when a platform built on intimacy and connection quietly replaces that intimacy with automation, that’s when the line between convenience and deception gets crossed. If creators want AI handling the workload, fine say it. Let people decide for themselves whether they’re okay with that exchange. The fact that most would never disclose it tells you everything about where the ethics really stand and how that seeps into them as a provider.

Consumers aren’t blameless, but we are not disposable either. Some of us are just trying to support the women we enjoy and maybe build a small connection along the way. That shouldn’t be something that gets taken advantage of for a quick upsell or a handful of automated DMs. The industry can evolve hell, it has no choice but to if AI is going to be part of that evolution, then honesty needs to be part of it too.
