There are certainly a lot of great brothels that operate as they should. I've personally visited a few brothels in Denmark, as well as in Germany, Spain, and Switzerland. However, as with many things, there are hidden pitfalls and dark sides that the average person doesn't see. Additionally, my former SB, who has worked in several brothels abroad, has shared her firsthand experiences of what really happens behind the scenes. Between her stories and his, I've come to realize that the brothel world can be pretty messed up, and in many cases, is.
There was a podcast not too long ago where they delved deep into the story of an Eastern European sex worker who tragically lost her life in 2017 here in Denmark, when a brothel she was working in was set on fire. Since 2023, I can count over 12 medium-sized brothels that have closed in Copenhagen alone. It’s scary because, as clients, what if we get caught in some kind of crossfire? These criminal gangs are ruthless—they don't care about what happens to anyone, all they want is to get more and more control over the market.
That's why I appreciate the way brothels are regulated in Nevada, where they are largely licensed and governed by the counties. This makes things safer, not only for the sex workers but for the clients as well.
It's super important to always check reviews for brothels. However, it's usually better to visit independent providers, in my experience.
