On my path to figuring out what could make me a better client, I came across a news article that really blew my mind for a multitude of reasons and gives providers even more reason to hate us. It described a client who lied to three providers not only about paying them but also about his sexual health. This guy pretty much did everything wrong a client can do in this hobby and is going to be paying the price for it, as he should.
It went like this: a client saw three different providers. He simulated that he paid to see these women, and the women believed the electronic payment they saw. At the same time, the client also forged an STD test showing he didn’t have HIV. At some point, the providers realized they had all been scammed by the same person and alerted law enforcement about what happened. To note, this happened in New Zealand, and like Europe, their outlook on escorting is in a hell of a gray area—although it’s looked at with much more leniency in New Zealand. Anyway, with law enforcement being informed, the client was taken into custody, charged with rape, and could possibly face 10 years in prison.
As strange as it sounds, the client won’t be going to jail for rape. Two of the women dropped their charges, which likely ties back to that gray area mentioned earlier. The third woman had her charge dismissed by a judge for whatever reason. The client is most likely going to jail for forging documents and using them to lie. And even though the women don’t have any charges currently moving forward, the court still wants them to be paid for their time with the client and then some, which comes out to about $2,000 each.
This is pretty much the who’s who of what not to do when seeing a provider. The amount of time it takes to forge documents and lie like this could easily be spent just earning the money to see these women. The worst part about all of this is that one of these women could possibly have an incurable STD after the client forged his test.
This guy is truly the prime example of why providers worry about us. For a client to go through this much effort is really on some diabolical shit. There should be no reason anyone goes to these lengths to deceive another person. Providers will talk about this client for a long time, using him as the prime example in their decision-making. As clients, we can only see this as nothing more than a lesson in what not to do at any point in our time as hobbyists.
