Furthermore, the CEO of "Late Checkout", Greg isenberg, wrote a post recently on X. He was talking to a 24-year old young man who admitted to spend upwards of $10,000 PER month on his AI girlfriend(s).
The 24-year old continued "I love that I can customize my AI girlfriends - It´s all comfort at the end of the day".

Two of his own favorite websites for generating these AI companions is Candy.ai & Kupid.ai. Both websites uses AI algorithms to create and also develop companions as you go.

I get the appeal for sure. But if that happens I predict our society won't survive. We're already cloistered enough in our own echo chambers. If people can design their own ideal partners, we're done. Everybody, myself included, is already selfish enough and unwilling to empathize or compromise. A huge benefit of having to attract and keep an actual human partner is learning to successfully interact and serve others. This will teach people to kill that skill set.

Sorry for the unsolicited rant. Like I said I see the benefit of pleasure replicants. I just don't need the option to actually own one
