Take It from me, I had a SB - which did also work as a provider all around Europe, Madrid, Switzerland, Copenhagen, Amsterdam etc. Her "obsession" with me and all the "hola amor" faded as soon as I didnt want to spit any more money into our "relationship". So yes, a marketing tactic.

It does work, I think just about everyone would be surprised with the amount of gifts that many providers receives on a weekly/monthly basis.
