Hey Tanya!
I don’t actually live there so locals might have some hidden gems, however I frequently travel to NYC and know of some spots. Food wise and things to do there are a million choices but here are some of my favorites.
Shion 69 Leonard Street for Sushi. One of the best omakase I’ve ever had
Cull and Pistol - seafood spot in Chelsea Market
Wayan - Indonesian, Asian fusion is delicious
Valerie - midtown restaurant and bar. Great drinks and food. A little loud for convo though
Soledad - upscale Mexican food, good drinks
Peter Luger Steakhouse - In Brooklyn so kind of a hike from Manhattan but one of the best.
Nothing Really Matters - Speakeasy cocktail bar, great vibes
As far as things to do, I really enjoy going to the American Musuem of Natural History, but I’m a nerd for random information lol. Brooklyn Botanical Gardens is nice but kind of far. Yankees are away so unfortunately can’t see them play but if you want to see that other baseball team out in Queens they are home.
Enjoy!
