90% of staying safe, is the research you do before you even make contact with a provider. This is just how I approach the hobby, the information is anecdotal at best, but its always worked for me. I 'research' a provider before reach out to them. I am looking to verify authenticity via social media and their personal websites. I have never booked an independent non PS provider that doesn't have their own personal website and active social media. I would only book 'high end' escorts or Pornstar escorts. Pornstar escorts is a little easier, and its the only time I would use an agency. It should be pretty obvious which porn star agencys to use if you read this forum. I dont use agencies for non porn stars, those 'businesses' are the ones that get popped by law enforcement and can be risky. You dont know how they are keeping your info safe. again, the porn star agencies discussed on this site do talk about information safety and I think are ok to use. So I keep it narrowed down to independent girls outside of PSs. I never contact providers under a certain price point, it will vary on location, but I am in a high cost area, so I would never contact anyone under $750/hr. Do some research on your local area, read about the sting operations that the police do. you will see a pattern where its usually more 'affordable' priced girls they use to lure johns, typically in the suburbs around the city in cheaper hotel / motels. I keep things isolated typically to touring independent girls offering outcalls staying in the heart of the city, where things are classy and expensive. classy and expensive usually infers privacy too. I would be hesitant to see a provider in a budget hotel. Doesn't have to be ritz carlton, but it should vibe with the 'style' of the provider. high end girls are professional and stay at nice places. I dont look for reviews much these days, outside this forum. they are too easy to fake and mileage varies highly. I like to see a nicely designed website and actively used social media. I will make contact being very discrete and specific via email. Ask for availability at a certain time and place, according to their travel schedule. I am conscious of how they reply, grammer, language information etc. am I talking to a professional (often a booker and not the actual provider). or am I talking to someone that puts little effort into the correspondence. I'm not looking for a pen pal, just making sure there isnt any indications that the person is not who they say they are and that I would 'get along' with them in person. I never send deposits over 10% usually, unless I feel very comfortable with my communications with the provider/booker. I never send anything I am not willing to lose, and I have never been scammed (so far). Other than just go with your gut. After you get a couple bookings under your belt, you should be able to trust your gut on how things seem. I know others people have different methods, and my process might be 'too much' for some, but its just how I approach things, to stay safe for me and for the provider. i want both of us to have a safe, fun and professional time.
