I appreciate your understanding. I have some personal plans that are not widely known. I have connections with a few NFL players who have access to excellent lawyers and accountants, and I’ve made some strategic moves recently. Fortunately, I manage the finances while she takes care of the household, so she isn’t fully aware of the situation. Raising kids can be costly, so it’s reasonable to assume we might not have much. As long as she has enough, she’ll be okay. It’s likely she’ll end up with the house, as courts often favor women in these cases, but I have a plan for that too.
My wife believes we’re trying to work things out, but that’s not the case. I intend to persuade her to sell the house so we can start anew, then use the equity for family trips and setting up the kids’ college savings accounts, among other things. My children won’t suffer from this; we’ll find a home for them to grow up in for the next 15 years, and I’ll place it in an irrevocable trust for their benefit. When I eventually inform her that I’m not interested in reconciling and want to proceed with the divorce, even if the judge awards her the house and requires me to pay the mortgage, it will ultimately benefit my kids.
