I’m sorry, but this picture is floating everywhere and I have to put my two cents in. I don’t know if I’ve been in this hobby too long and my brain is just wired this way now, or if I’m simply seeing the world for what it is but this photo is messing with my head a little. Getting it out is the only way I can make sense of it, so stay with me on this one.
The picture in question is the one making the rounds right now: Robert Greene, the multiple bestselling author, sitting with Saweetie, the entertainer. I didn’t really know much about Greene before this moment. I’ve heard of The 48 Laws of Power but never really dug into who he is. Saweetie, on the other hand I’ve seen her around social media, heard her music, and while her music isn’t for me, I’ve always thought of her as more of an entertainer than a artist. Gorgeous woman, no question, but that’s about as far as my attention ever went.
Now, I believe most normal people would look at this picture with a more open mind at least I’m assuming so. Me? I’m looking at it thinking, “I wonder how much she is for the night?” I don’t know if that’s wrong for me to think, but it’s honestly the first thing that came to mind. From a client’s point of view, it looks like your classic setup: a very attractive young woman out with an older man who, on paper, doesn’t seem like he could pull her on his best day. I'm no heartthrob either though reality is reality.
Of course, there’s always the civilian explanation. Greene writes books about empowerment it’s very possible he’s meeting with Saweetie in some kind of mentorship or consulting role to help guide her career. The photo is from 2019, when she was still finding her footing in the music industry, so maybe this was the dinner that gave her the push she needed to level up into the star she is today. Another possibility? Greene’s just got that kind of game. He knows how to talk the talk, walk the walk, wear his confidence loud enough to pull a woman like Saweetie. That’s not impossible.
Then there’s the other side of my brain the one that’s been shaped by the hobby. What the hell do Greene and Saweetie have in common to be at dinner together? I know I’m not the only one thinking this because the internet is running wild with it, as it always does. You’ve got both providers and civilians chiming in, with a lot of women calling Saweetie a “304” from the jump which, honestly, just sounds like jealousy talking. From my point of view.
If this is a client/provider setup, I’m not mad at it. Greene could’ve picked a more discreet restaurant where fewer people might recognize him, sure but when you’re that famous and sitting across from a beautiful woman like Saweetie, eyes are going to be on you no matter what. Either way, the man looks like he’s living his best life, and honestly, that’s all any of us can do in this world.
