Riley has shared how her work initially strained her relationships with her family. Speaking on the Just Trish Podcast, Riley revealed that her decision to enter porn led to her being disowned by relatives, including her mother.
“I wasn’t close with any of my family once I got into porn,” she said. “They couldn’t understand my decision or that I was happy and thriving.” She recalled an emotional moment with her aunt, who called her crying. “It was bizarre. I felt like they were projecting their issues onto me.”
Despite years of estrangement, Reid’s personal life has helped mend those relationships. Married since 2021 and a mother to her daughter Emma, born in 2022, Reid said becoming a parent shifted her perspective. “I thought, if my daughter had a kid and didn’t let me meet them, I’d be heartbroken,” she shared.
This realization prompted her to reconnect with her mother, and their relationship has since improved. Reid now says she’s enjoying their conversations and has also rebuilt a “pretty good” bond with her father.
