I'm beginning to understand this hobby more and more as time goes along. Just how mature the clientele is compared to some providers who have no problem being so cut throat toward each other its almost it almost make clients look like saints.
Story Time:
A day or so ago, a provider, let's call her Jenny, posted to inform clients and providers alike that there are providers purposefully scamming, which puts other, more serious companions in a bad light. It makes sense because, as clients, we share information to help the next person avoid falling victim. Jenny was DM'd by providers asking which providers might be scamming, and she told them. It wasn't something they didn't already know; Jenny was just the only person who had the guts to say it out loud.
Fast forward, there is now an email circulating among clients and providers that Jenny is racist. Now, I have no idea if Jenny is racist or not. I don't believe she is, but I don't know her any more than a fly on a wall. What I do believe is that her informing providers about each other and then this email coming out isn't a coincidence.
End of Story Time
I knew providers were cutthroat, I really did. I just didn't know there wasn't a line to how far some of them will go. Here's a provider trying to do the right thing, and when she does, the entire community collapses on her with a snap of a finger. I have no idea if the allegations she brought up on these providers are true or not; it's very hard to prove if a provider is scamming unless it's coming from multiple sources. Still, this has given me insight into this hobby. I still love it, but it can really be a minefield if you step on anyone's toes.
