You can't deny that this question hasn't crossed your mind at least once. It's a question that inevitably arises when in a relationship. Being a client in itself is a hobby; some may call it a lifestyle. However, when faced with the involvement of your significant other, can it still be considered as such?

I happened to come across a video on TikTok that piqued my interest in the hobby. It's your basic interview video of a person asking others on the street if seeing a provider is considered cheating. Mind you, this video was made in Japan, where the culture, along with a plethora of other things, differs compared to the US.

Strangely enough, a majority of the women in the video said that seeing a provider isn't considered cheating. They based their argument on the fact that if their significant other were to cheat with a provider, there would most likely be no emotion involved. They reasoned that if they were not hiding it and actually let them know, it would actually show that sex with the provider meant nothing.

Again, Japan is a place with a different set of rules and people who see the world almost entirely differently from us in the States. Although, from their point of view, I understand. You can call it being a man or misogynistic; I really don't care. To me, sex can be something that is shared emotionally between two or more people in a way that binds them for life. On the other hand, sex can just be a way to work off steam in a state that can only be called therapeutic. There's no emotion being shared through this therapy, just rawness that can leave you feeling lighter at the end.

This is an area that is different for everyone, no matter where you are. But one thing is for sure: it's entirely up to you in the end
