Pre-Session Warm Up

Pre-session warm-up is seriously underrated. Everything you do before the session can either set the tone for something amazing — or send it straight into the dirt. It doesn’t matter if you’re a brand new hobbyist or a seasoned veteran. Anyone can mess up a session just by getting the start wrong.

I want to take it from the top, especially for the newer hobbyists out there. When I first started, I used to get really nervous before meeting any new girl. I hated that feeling. And the worst part? I didn’t know what to do about it until much later on.

Yes, we have a “Guide for First-Time Hobbyists,” but I always felt like it didn’t quite cut it — or maybe better said, this post adds a few key tips that make a real difference. Even now, as a very experienced hobbyist, I still do some of these things before a session. Because they help.

1. Take the “Edge” Off

I'm talking about easing off just the top layer of anxiety — not knocking yourself out. I don’t do this every time, but occasionally I’ll drink three standard beers (4.6%) before heading out. That’s usually enough to feel a slight buzz — just a really light head spin — without crossing into sloppiness.

Don’t overdo it. Depending on your weight and height, three beers might bring your BAC to around 0.05%, which is a sweet spot for reduced anxiety and loosened nerves without affecting your coordination or clarity.

Important: Always freshen up with peppermint candy or a peppermint mouth spray right before walking into the apartment or hotel. No excuses.

2. Listen to Music with Heavy Bass

Here’s a tip you might not have heard before. Right before your session, listen to music with deep bass — something with a steady, strong rhythm.

Why? Because your heart rate and breathing can actually start to sync up with the beat — it’s a natural phenomenon called entrainment. Bass-heavy music at around 60–80 BPM (beats per minute) can help regulate your breathing and slow down a racing heart, making you feel calmer. Think deep house, chill beats, mellow hip-hop — something that grounds you.

It’s like giving your nervous system a signal: relax, you’re doing great.

3. Look Good, Feel Good

This one should be obvious, but I’ve seen some guys slack on it: groom yourself like you’re going on a real date. That means a fresh shower, trimmed nails, deodorant, clean breath, fresh clothes — all of it.

You’ll not only look better to the girl, but you’ll also feel more confident in your own skin. Confidence is sexy, even in a P4P context.
It´s like some NFL players wearing gold chains when they play, it says it makes them play better If they look good. It´s the exact same thing here.

Pre-session warm-up is about more than just killing time before you meet. It's a way of setting the stage — mentally, emotionally, and physically — for a better experience on both sides. Whether you're new to the game or hundreds of sessions in, a little preparation can go a long way.

Sessions don’t start when the door opens. They start before you even knock.
