but I found is a lot easier than I had originally thought

Pam Peaks had me make a deposit with BTC. It wasn't worth the trouble. Then again, I don't have my own hedge fund and can't make $10k+ transactions without IRS-CI or FinCen getting on my ass.

I used to think that I had to have alot of money to use Bitcoin s well. but the last couple of days I have had a few people pay deposits this way
and it was easy to learn about. To be clear I am not talking about it as an investment option..just a payment option

I understand. I tried to pay Pam via crypto and my credit card got multiple fraud alerts. I eventually ended up sending her a money order. I guess her knowledge of payment options is as outdated as the site. Joslyn James (Tryst Agency) was great, though.

Not my cup of tea, plus more frequently seeing cases where these untraceable transactions were very traceable.

Plus at small demoninations when the value is volatile and the 1500 at booking is now only worth 1300 on the day of the date or something similar happens with a deposit, do you tell the client to make it whole or eat the loss/pocket any gain in the opposite situation?

Just seems like more trouble than it's worth if people aren't clammoring for it, not even taking into account any of the other potential regulatory issues.

For those of us based internationally who like to partake whenever we we fly into the US for business, brining in large amounts of cash raises questions, and withdrawing those sums from ATM's is a pain too. We don't have access to Venmo and CashApp etc, so PayPal or Bitcoin payments would definitely be a helpful option. Some agencies and providers in Europe and the Middle East use it successfully. Plus, touring girls tend to like it as they get lots of questions when returning home to their home countries with piles of cash. Having it in crypto and then withdrawing it when they get home is a safer option all round.

Cool - I'm from the UK but have been based in Dubai for the past couple of decades and haven't maintained my UK bank accounts and mobile etc unfortunately.

Payments would be hard to do... not really a viable option in a stressed situation, since the transaction has to be completed on the blockchain before it goes through AND that could take some time

It only works from UK if you send it to a personal US cash app account.
It does not work if the CashApp is a business one.

the issue with making an electronic payment when you are face to face in the room is what do you do when and if that payment system is having issue and not working? Cause that has happened.

I have paid a provider in BTC a few times and it’s been pretty smooth kept a hefty transaction off my statements so I didn’t mind at all.

bitcoin itself not likely to have issues, but if people are using exchanges to host wallets then its gets more complicated. E.g. if Coinbase has a issue, that might limit somebody from sending/receiving. So if everyone had private wallets and had some understanding of how crypto works, it would be ok. That being said, very few people treating crypto as cash have private wallets, and most people still don't really understand it. Which is expected, not everyone is into 'computer' stuff. anyways, cash (once you have it in your hand) is 100% every time, with no delays. it will be hard to beat that level of convenience with crypto for a long time, even if going to ATM is a pain.
