Maybe I should clarify….i also heavily scrutinize reviews, but my first “line of defense” is purely visual. I’ve learned that appearance is extremely subjective. That might sound painfully obvious but maybe I’ve just been burned before. The amount of “drop dead gorgeous” and “model like” reviews I’ve seen only to be disappointed when I see them myself is a little too embarrassing to count.

I have done this a few times actually as well. its basically a vibe check because sometimes you can just instantly tell you won't click with them if you were to meet in person. can save time and avoid dissapointment
