Lately, I’ve found myself drawn to sessions where everything unnecessary is stripped away. No polite warm-ups, no forced curiosity, no pretending we’re there for anything other than what we both already know. The kind of sessions where the door opens, terms are clear, time isn’t wasted, and things move forward immediately.
Maybe it’s because I got a year older last month.
Maybe it’s just priorities changing.
Either way, since 2026 started, I’ve stopped valuing small talk during sessions almost entirely.
I’m not there to discuss the weather, exchange surface-level pleasantries, or fill silence with meaningless chatter. I’m there for intensity, focus, and momentum. Conversation has its place - just not in every single session. I’ll save that for another time.
What I want right now is efficiency. Clarity. Action.
That same mindset has spilled over into how I choose providers.
Last year, I’d spend ridiculous amounts of time reading ad texts, overanalyzing wording, comparing profiles, second-guessing my choice of providers only to end up stuck, scrolling endlessly and killing my own desire in the process.
Now? I scroll the local directory, pick the first providers on there that catches my attention that fits what I want, and move on.
Decisiveness beats perfection every time. Overthinking is the fastest way to drain excitement.
On that note, the phrase “no-BS providers” gets thrown around a lot, but there are women who genuinely embody it. While listening to the Boob Hound podcast earlier today, one name immediately came to mind as a perfect example of someone who understands exactly what kind of experience she offers and leans fully into it: Angelika Baj. No fluff, no confusion, no mixed signals. I genuinely hope to see her this year, as it looks like Zurich is where she prefers to work.
